Third Sunday Contra Dance Series

Introductory Workshop 7:00-7:30
Contra Dance 7:30-10:30pm
Dessert Potluck during the break

  • September 19th: Linda Leslie with Riptide
  • October 17th: Lisa Greenleaf with Brendan Carey Block, Eric McDonald, and Julie Vallimont (At St. John's in Watertown)
  • November 21st: Adina Gordon with Randy Miller, Edward Wallace, and Gordon Peery (At the Park Ave. Church in Arlington)
  • December 19th: Sue Rosen with Stunt Double (Back to the Masonic Hall in Cambridge for a good long while)
Introductory Contra Dance Workshop at 7:00 p.m., bring your friends even if they don't know how to contra dance yet - we'll get them up and running and having a ball!

Bring someone new to contra to the intro session and you BOTH get into the workshop and dance free. sit-ins welcome - RSVP to Julie at to join in!

    Public Transportation (strongly recommended)

    The Masonic Hall is a short walk from Porter Square Station

    Parking

    No parking permit needed on Sundays.
    Parking meters are not active on Sundays.
    If coming from out of town, parking at Alewife or Davis Square and taking subway may be the best option.
    Share rides with other dancers!
    Shaws grocery store parking lot is nearby with a small risk of being towed. Not recommended.

How Much:

    $5-10 sliding scale
    Additional donations to BIDA are welcome to help fund future projects.

    BIDA is a volunteer run dance and we really could use your help. We need people to help set up, clean up, and take money at the door. If you would like to volunteer in return for free admission to the dance, please email
